Description
Components and Their Functions
Transparent Drip Chamber
The transparent drip chamber allows healthcare professionals to observe drops and monitor solution flow during infusion. The solution then passes through the set’s flexible tubing towards the intravenous connection.
Roller Clamp and Spike
The roller clamp is used to adjust or stop the flow of solution through the tubing. The spike connects the infusion set to the solution container. Together, these components form the fluid pathway from the container to the intravenous equipment connection.
The WEBEST IV infusion set includes a fluid filter to help retain particles as the solution passes through the set. It is supplied with a 21G needle. Healthcare professionals determine how to use the components according to clinical requirements.
Packaging and Storage
Each set is supplied in an individual blister pack and sterilised using ethylene oxide (EtO). The individual packaging helps maintain sterility until use, provided the package remains intact. Check the packaging integrity and expiry date before use.
