What Does the 2,500 cc Scale Indicate?
The RESPIVOL 2500 scale is graduated up to 2,500 cc, equivalent to 2.5 litres. During inhalation, the indicator rises to show the approximate volume of air entering the lungs in that breath. This value helps patients follow the exercise target set by their physician; not every patient needs to reach 2,500 cc.
The display is intended to guide the exercise and does not represent total lung capacity or the result of a diagnostic test. Diagnostic spirometry is a separate test performed using a spirometer.
Use and Care
When prescribed by a physician, this device may form part of a breathing exercise programme for certain patients recovering from surgery or individuals who need deep-inhalation exercises. The product is intended for one patient only and must not be shared.
Wash and dry the device after each use, and store it in a clean, dry environment. Children must use the device under adult supervision.
